(New Castle, DE 19720) On Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 9:59 p.m., patrol officers with the New Castle County Division of Police responded to the 500 block of Ashton Lane in Ashton Condos for an attempted carjacking. The 22-year-old victim reported five teenage black males attempted to force her out of her car and steal it but were scared off by a neighbor. While enroute, Patrol officers were also notified of suspects matching the description were seen trying to steal a Hyundai that was parked on Fairhaven Court and a Hyundai parked on Hamilton Court in Spencer Park Townhouses.
