(Newark, DE 19713) The New Castle County Division of Police has issued a Gold Alert for 37-year-old Matthew Cavender of Newark. Matthew was last seen at his home in Chestnut Hill Estates around 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, and has not been seen since. Matthew made comments that caused concern for his welfare and safety. All efforts to locate or contact Matthew have been unsuccessful.

Matthew is described as a white male, 6’0”, 220 pounds, with brown hair, and blue eyes and he was last seen wearing glasses, a blue polo shirt, khakis and white Nike Air Force 1s.

Police are asking anyone with information on Matthew Cavender’s whereabouts to contact the New Castle County Division of Police by dialing 911 or the non-emergency number (302) 573-2800.
