We’ve received calls there are scammers pretending to be an officer from our agency claiming someone has outstanding warrants or fines.
How It Works:
You may get a call saying you owe fines, missed jury duty, or are under investigation. They’ll threaten arrest or legal trouble unless you pay immediately.
Watch for These Red Flags:
Unsolicited calls claiming legal issues
Threats of arrest or jail
Demands for payment via gift cards, crypto, or wire
Protect Yourself:
Hang up & verify: Call NCCPD at (302) 573-2800
