(Hockessin, DE 19707) – On Saturday, September 6, 2025, at approximately 3:10 p.m., officers from the New Castle County Division of Police responded to the 2000 block of Brackenville Road in Hockessin for a report of a single-vehicle, motorcycle crash.

Upon arrival, officers located the rider, identified as a 65-year-old John J. Marra of Hockessin, unresponsive at the scene. New Castle County Paramedics and EMS responded, and despite life-saving measures, Mr. Marra was pronounced deceased.

The New Castle County Division of Police Traffic Services Unit responded and has assumed the investigation.
