(New Castle, DE 19720) – Officers with the New Castle County Division of Police are investigating three separate fatal heroin overdoses that occurred in communities within New Castle and Wilmington. The Delaware Division of Forensic Science will determine the official causes of death.
The New Castle County Division of Police reminds the community that help is available. The Hero Help Addiction Unit is a partnership between the Division of Police, the Delaware Department of Justice, and the Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health. The program connects qualifying adults who seek assistance with treatment for drug and/or alcohol addiction.
Hero Help offers a greater opportunity for those battling addiction to take the first step toward recovery and overcoming the challenges it brings. Free Narcan (naloxone) is also available.
