(Middletown, DE 19709) The New Castle County Division of Police has issued a Gold Alert for 82-year-old James Dwyer, who has been reported missing.
James left his residence in the 100 block of Maple Avenue at approximately 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, and has not yet returned.
After leaving his residence, James contacted someone in Warwick, Maryland, around 3:30 p.m., and was later reportedly seen on Bunker Hill Road near Appoquinimink High School in Middletown at approximately 4:00 p.m. He was last observed driving a black Jeep Cherokee bearing Delaware registration PC323231 and indicated he may be traveling to the Jersey Shore.
Despite extensive efforts, officers have been unable to locate or contact him, and there is growing concern for his health and safety.
James is described as 5’11” tall, weighing approximately 160 pounds, with gray hair. He was last seen wearing a black polo shirt with a red symbol on the sleeve and blue jeans.
