On Friday, October 9th, at approximately 10:50 p.m., patrol officers with the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Canvasback Drive in Mallard Pointe, New Castle, DE, 19720, for a report of a suspicious person.

According to residents, an unknown male wearing a black hockey-style mask and tactical-style vest approached homes while carrying what appeared to be a rifle, knocked on doors, and then ran. Four males were also seen heading eastbound on Mallard Road, two on bicycles and two on foot.

Responding officers, along with a K9 unit, conducted a thorough search of the neighborhood and nearby properties. Despite these efforts, they did not locate the individuals.

While the weapons involved are believed to be Airsoft-style weapons, police have not confirmed this.
