(Hockessin, DE 19707) Yesterday morning (August 3rd), Officers from the New Castle County Division of Police responded to the area of McGovern Road for a report of an injured person.

Upon arrival, officers located a 49-year-old male pinned under a hay bale. Although resuscitative efforts were performed, the victim succumbed to his injuries.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Unit and investigators from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration assumed the investigation.

(Newark, DE 19711) On July 30th, 2022, patrol officers from the New Castle County Division of Police responded to the unit block of Possum Hollow Road. When the officers arrived, they learned that the suspects had removed a credit card from the victim’s vehicle. As the officers continued their investigation, they discovered that the suspects had used the stolen card at a nearby store.

During the investigation, the officers obtained these photographs of the suspects. (New Castle, 19720) Earlier today (July 7th), at approximately 11:54 A.M., Patrol officers were dispatched to the area of Auburn Drive in the community of White Hall for the report of a shooting that had just occurred.

Upon the officer’s arrival, they learned that a 33-year-old male and a 29-year-old had suffered gunshot wounds. The victims fled the area and arrived at a local hospital, where they were treated and released.

Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Criminal Investigations Unit arrived at the scene and assumed the investigation. 

The investigation is ongoing; however, detectives are confident that they have identified the participants, and additional updates will follow.
