New Castle County Police Detectives have obtained surveillance footage of the suspect vehicle.

Detectives from the Traffic Services Unit obtained surveillance footage. The vehicle in the video is the suspect vehicle for this investigation.

The vehicle sought is a 2017-2020 Honda CRV ivory/cream color, with heavy right-side damage.

The vehicle caused a crash that left a 78-year-old man in critical condition in the area of Carpenter Station Road and Valley Run Drive.

New Castle County Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a hit and run suspect that left a 78-year-old in critical condition.

(Wilmington, DE 19810) Yesterday (August 13, 2022), New Castle County police officers responded to Carpenter Station Road and Valley Run Drive for a report of a vehicle collision that had just occurred. Upon arrival, the officers discovered that a 78-year-old motorcyclist was traveling southbound on Carpenter Station Road, approaching the intersection of Valley Run Drive. A Honda CRV cream in color was traveling northbound on Carpenter Station Road and turned left in front of the motorcycle. The motorcycle struck the front passenger side door. The rider was ejected and came to rest at the intersection of Carpenter Station Road and Valley Run Drive.

The rider was flown to a local hospital and is currently in critical condition.

The Traffic Services Unit responded to the area and assumed the investigation. The vehicle sought is a 2017-2020 Honda CRV ivory/cream color, with heavy right-side damage.

(Claymont, DE 19703) Yesterday, Officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the West Brandywine Avenue area for a report of a shooting that had just occurred. 

Upon arrival, they found a 14-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower extremity. The officers rendered medical aid, and he was transported to a local area hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Criminal Investigations Unit arrived at the scene and assumed the investigation.

The investigation is still in its early stages and very active.
