POLICE APPREHEND PEEPER IN COMMUNITY OF CASTLE BROOK APARTMENTS

  (New Castle, DE 19720) Last Tuesday (Jun 1) patrol officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the community of Castle Brook Apartments for the report of a suspicious male peeping into windows of a ground floor apartment.

According to the 26-year-old female victim, a black male subject was seen on surveillance footage walking onto their patio approximately 9 times from May 22nd through June 1st.

 When the officers reviewed the surveillance footage, they saw a black male suspect standing on the patio.

 The same suspect was seen sometimes looking into the small kitchen window that is also on the patio. He was then observed crouching down (out of camera view) and then crawls towards the sliding glass door.  The victim also reported finding the screen door of the patio ajar on multiple occasions.

The officers collected the video and other evidence for processing and attempts were made to identify the suspect.   The officers also set up increased random patrols in the complex.

Last night (Jun 3), at approximately 9:45 p.m., the victim contacted officers and stated that the suspect was again on the patio peeping through her sliding glass door.  At 10:30 p.m. patrol officers were conducting a random patrol in the complex and located a suspicious black male in the area of the victim’s apartment.  After briefly interviewing the subject the officers were able to determine that this person, 25-year-old Milck Green, was the suspect who had been peeping into the apartment.

Green was taken into custody and transported to New Castle County Police Headquarters where he was charged with one count of felony Stalking and eight counts of misdemeanor Trespassing with Intent to Peer or Peep.

  He was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on $6,000 unsecured bail.

POLICE INVESTIGATE HOMICIDE IN THE COMMUNITY OF CEDAR HEIGHTS

(Wilmington, DE 19804) Earlier this afternoon (Jun 2), at approximately 4:00 p.m. patrol officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the area of the 300 block of Cedar avenue, in the community of Cedar Heights for the report of a shooting. 

When the officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a black male victim who suffered from a gun shot wound to the upper body.  The officers attempted First Aid however the victim had already succumbed to his wound. 

Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Criminal Investigations Unit arrived at the scene and assumed the investigation. 

This investigation is still in the early stages and additional updates will be provided as they become available.

“It is difficult to describe the anger and frustration of yet another young man who has lost his life to a senseless act of violence,”  stated Col. Vaughn M. Bond, Jr.  “The suspect(s) responsible for this crime must be identified and apprehended; however, the police can’t do it alone.  The young victim leaves behind a devastated family who deserves to know what occurred and who is responsible for murdering their loved one.  To withhold information only serves to intensify the excruciating pain that this family is experiencing so I am pleading for anyone with information to provide it to us anonymously.”

POLICE REQUEST PUBLIC’S ASSISTANCE IN IDENTIFYING FORGERY SUSPECTS

(New Castle, DE 19720) Last Wednesday (May 26), patrol officers contacted a 41-year-old victim in reference to a fraud report.  When the officers contacted the victim, they learned that her purse had been stolen from her car at the Midway Softball Field on Monday (May 17).  According to the victim, her purse contained her identification and multiple credit cards.

The victim stated that she noticed unknown transactions on her bank account and learned that some of her checks had been forged and cashed. The investigation then revealed that it was found that the suspect cashed three fraudulent checks at a drive-thru teller utilizing the victim’s driver’s license for identification.

The officers were able to obtain this photograph of the suspects and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the people in the picture.
