Detectives Arrest New Castle Man For Multiple Burglaries

New Castle County Police Detectives have arrested 36-year-old Nathaniel Marsh for multiple burglaries and resisting arrest.

(Newcastle, Del.-19720) Monday (July 17) New Castle County Police Detectives arrested Nathaniel Marsh of the 500 block of S. Dupont Hwy. Nathaniel Marsh was wanted on multiple warrants issued by New Castle County Police.

Throughout the months of June and July, New Castle County Police investigated multiple burglaries that occurred in the unit block of Marlin Dr, unit block of Talbot Dr, unit block of Carvel Ave in Hampton Walk Apts., and 5000 block of Heritage Dr in Heritage Court Apts. Throughout the course of the investigation, Detectives obtained evidence linking Nathaniel Marsh to the burglaries and obtained warrants for his arrest.

New Castle County Police Special Investigations Squad observed Nathaniel Marsh driving in a stolen motor vehicle in the unit block of New Castle Ave. When detectives attempted to take Nathaniel Marsh into custody, he fled on foot.  Detectives utilized their departmentally issued Tasers to successfully take Nathaniel Marsh into custody.

Nathaniel Marsh was charged with misdemeanor receiving stolen property, resisting arrest, 5 counts of burglary in the second degree, 2 counts of felony theft, 4 counts of conspiracy in the second degree, misdemeanor criminal mischief, 4 counts misdemeanor theft, unlawful use of a credit card, motor vehicle theft, theft of a firearm, misdemeanor criminal mischief, 2 counts of felony terroristic threatening, 2 counts of misdemeanor terroristic threatening and misdemeanor harassment. Nathaniel Marsh was arraigned and committed to Howard Young Correctional Institution after failing to pay $58,250.00 cash only bail.
