Gold Alert Issued For Missing Wilmington Man-Prudhvinath Kanduri

New Castle County Police are searching for 25-year-old Prudhvinath Kanduri missing from the community of Saddle Ridge Crossing.

(Wilmington, Del.-19808) Monday(August 21) at approximately 7:00 p.m., New Castle County Police were dispatched to the unit block of Bridal Path for a report of a missing person. Police learned that Prudhvinath Kanduri left his residence in a vehicle and made statements that cause a concern for his welfare.

Prudhvinath Kanduri is described as a white male, 5’8” tall, 165 pounds, black hair and brown eyes. It is unknown at this time what type of vehicle he left in.

New Castle County Police Recognize Fourteen At Promotional Ceremony

Today(August 21) The New Castle County Police Department recognized fourteen officers during a promotional ceremony held at the University Of Delaware’s John M. Clayton Hall.

The following officers recognized were; Lt. Colonel Quinton L. Watson, Major Robert A. McLucas, Captain Joseph S. Bloch, Captain Diane R. Smith, Lieutenant Brian N. Faulkner, Lieutenant Allen G. Herring, Lieutenant Gustavo A. Zeissig, Sergeant James D. Allison, IV, Sergeant Brian M. Cote, Sergeant Peter J. Stewart, III, Sergeant Kevin P. Donohue, Jr., Sergeant Hector L. Garcia, Jr., Sergeant Jennifer L. Bunora, Sergeant John-Paul D. Piser.

“In today’s world of policing it is imperative that supervision is available to oversee the day to day interactions of our officers,” said Colonel Vaughn Bond, Jr. “quality supervision ensure that mishaps are few and quality service is being provided to the community.”

Also in attendance to recognize the officers was the Honorable Matthew Meyer, New Castle County Executive. “Leadership matters,” said County Executive Matthew Meyer. “I am proud to join in recognizing these men and women of the New Castle County Police who have distinguished themselves by their ability to lead and have earned opportunities to take on new responsibilities in the effort to keep our communities safe.”

Police Investigate Shots Fired, Motor Vehicle Crash and Make Arrest After Suspect Returns To The Scene

New Castle County Police have arrested 27-year-old Timothy Showell for motor vehicle and weapon related charges in the community of Woodland Village.

(Newark, Del.-19702) Today (August 20) at 1:00 a.m., New Castle County police were dispatched to the 200 block of Barnwell La for a shots fired. Police learned that 27-year-old Timothy Showell fired rounds into a parked motor vehicle in the 200 block of Barwell La. The vehicle was not occupied at the time. Timothy Showell fled the scene in his motor vehicle where he lost control and crashed into another parked vehicle in the 100 block of McCormick Dr. Both vehicles sustained significant damage. Timothy Showell was then picked up at the scene of the crash by a family member and driven home.

While police were investigating the motor vehicle crash and shots fired incident, Timothy Showell responded back to the scene where he was taken into custody without further incident.

Timothy Showell was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, four counts of reckless endangering in the first-degree, four counts of terroristic threatening and criminal mischief, leaving the scene of a property damage collision, failure to report motor vehicle crash, reckless driving, aggressive driving. Timothy Showell was arraigned and committed to Howard Young Correctional Institution for failing to pay a $29,000.00 secured bail. He was issued a no contact order with the victims.
