Police Investigate Multiple Criminal Mischief Complaints To Mailboxes

New Castle County Police are investigating multiple reports of damage to mailboxes throughout New Castle County.

(Newark, Del. 19702) Sunday (December 17) patrol units were dispatched to the unit block of S Perch Creek Dr in the community of Woodlands At Perch Creek, for a criminal mischief report to a mailbox.

During the course of the investigation, police learned that late Saturday night(December 16) into Sunday morning, several mail boxes had been damaged in a similar manner throughout the communities of La Grange and Woodlands At Perch Creek. Other communities where damaged mailboxes were reported, Brennan Estates, Rose Hill and Sylvan Park in Bear.

Police were able to secure surveillance video showing an unknown subject exiting a dark colored SUV and striking a mailbox with what appears to be a bat.
