New Castle County Police have arrested 34 year-old Camal Terry of the Lexington Green Apartment Complex.
(Newark, Del. 19702) Thursday (May 10) New Castle County Patrol officers were dispatched to the 5800 building on Byron Court in the Village of Canterbury Apartments for the report of multiple burglaries. The building on Byron court had been severely damaged by a fire that occurred on Tuesday (May 8). Officers discovered that 8 apartments had been broken into with force.
Detectives from the Property Squad and Evidence Detection Squad responded to the scene. Investigators quickly developed Camal Terry as a suspect. Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Squad served a search warrant at Camal Terry’s residence where additional evidence was recovered further implicating him in the burglaries. Estimated value of the total property taken is approximately $89,489.00.
Camal Terry was taken into custody without incident. He was charged with 8 counts of second-degree burglary, 7 counts of misdemeanor criminal mischief, 6 counts of felony theft, 2 counts of misdemeanor theft, and theft of a firearm. Camal Terry was arraigned and committed to the Howard Young Correctional Institute after failing to pay $89,700.00 secured bond and issued a no contact order with the Village of Canterbury Apartments.
