ALAPOCAS VANDALS ARRESTED

(Wilmington, De 19803)  Last Sunday, (July 8) New Castle County Police patrol officers were dispatched to the New Castle County Maintenance Yard in Alapocas for a Burglary Alarm.  When the officers arrived they saw that the entire yard had been ransacked.  The officers saw that windshields were smashed on multiple New Castle County maintenance vehicles, graffiti spray-painted on the walls of the structures.  They also noticed various tools, chairs, and soda cans were strewn about the area.

Due to the extensive amount of damage, detectives from the New Castle County Police Criminal Investigation Unit arrived and assumed the investigation.

Yesterday, (July 10) after the extensive investigation, the detectives were able to arrest 21-year-old Joseph Knapp on New Castle and 18-year-old Eric Burch of Wilmington and charge them with this incident.

Both were charged with felony Burglary 3rd, felony Criminal Mischief $5000 or more, felony Conspiracy 2nd and misdemeanor Theft.   Both subjects were arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and held in lieu of $4000 secured bail.
