NEW CASTLE COUNTY DIVISION OF POLICE CAR STOP YIELDS HEROIN SEIZURE

(Newcastle, DE 19720) Yesterday, (November 28) members of the New Castle County Division of Police Mobile Enforcement Team established surveillance in the area of the Route 9 Corridor near the community of Holloway Terrace.

spread.pngA green Lincoln Town Car was stopped after Failing to signal properly signal a lane change. The driver 31-year-old William Stewart was found to be in possession of 106 bags of heroin (0.742 grams), 1.7 grams of crack cocaine and three oxycodone pills.

 

William Stewart was charged with two counts of felony Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance with an Aggravating Factor, three counts of misdemeanor possession of a Controlled Substance with an Aggravating Factor, one count of misdemeanor Failure to Have Required Insurance, Driving While Suspended and Failure to Signal.

William Stewart was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released after posting $12,002.00 secured bond.
