GOLD ALERT ISSUED FOR MISSING FAIRWINDS MAN: BRENTON SCULLEY

The New Castle County Division of Police is currently searching for 29-year-old Brenton Sculley

(Bear, 19701) On Monday morning  (July 29), officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched an address on Ellen Drive, in the community of Fairwinds, for a Missing Person Report.  When the officers arrived at the residence they learned that 29-year-old Brenton Sculley had left the residence and made statements that caused a concern for his welfare..

He is a white male 5’08” 165 lbs. Brown Hair, Hazel Eyes and has a chin strap beard. He was last seen in the area of Ellen Drive Bear, Delaware 19701

GOLD ALERT ISSUED FOR MISSING SUMMER HILL MAN: PHILIP HIRST

The New Castle County Division of Police is currently searching for 28-year-old Philip Hirst

(Newark, 19702) On Tuesday evening  (July 23), officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched an address on Teakwood Drive, in the community of Summer Hill, for a Missing Person Report.  When the officers arrived at the residence they learned that 28-year-old Philip Hirst had sent messages to the family of this residence.  The messages contained statements which created a concern for his welfare.

He is a white male, 6’02” tall, 185 pounds, dark brown hair, with hazel eyes.  He was last seen wearing a dark t-shirt and jeans.  He left the residence in a silver, Hyundai Elantra (PA reg JTE 1431).

Don’t get scammed by Police impersonators

We’ve recently received reports of a phone scam in which the scammer pretends to be Corporal Eckerd from the New Castle County Sheriff’s office.

The scammer will then explain to you that one of your family members has a warrant out for their arrest. With that family member unavailable they will instruct you to give them a callback. Eventually, the scammer will call you back and explain to you have warrants out for your arrest.

They will then direct you to a store to purchase a payment card. Once the card is purchased the scammer will request the card’s number. At this point, the scammer will tell you that your warrants have been cleared.

1. A Police Department will never contact you to solicit funds

2. The only way to alleviate a warrant is to appear at the agency, or at the issuing court.

3. When posting bail, you have to be present in order to post the bail. If you have been the victim of a phone scam call the non-emergency number at 302-573-2800
