As harvest season gets underway for farms in 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐲 and throughout 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬, motorists may encounter 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬, 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐦 𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 traveling on roadways and taking up much of the road.

𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫:

• 𝐒𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 when approaching farm equipment.

• 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐚𝐝𝐬 and equipment to take up more than one lane.

• 𝐊𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 and allow plenty of room.

• 𝐃𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬 until it is safe and legal.

• 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐬. Farm equipment may make wide or unexpected turns.

• 𝐁𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭. These vehicles may be traveling well below the speed limit.

• 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐭 and watch for additional farm equipment entering or crossing the roadway.
