(Wilmington, De 19810) Earlier today  August 20, 2019 at approximately 12:45 PM, patrol officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the 2100 block of Exton Drive, in the community of Exton, for a report of a vehicle that struck a building.  Arriving officers found a 2015 Jeep Wrangler that struck a detached garage of a residence.

The investigation revealed that the operator of the vehicle, suffered a medical emergency while driving. The driver of the vehicle was not injured and the residents were not inside the garage at the time of the accident. The operator of the vehicle was taken to an area hospital to be evaluated.

A New Castle County Code Inspector went to the scene and deemed the residence habitable.
