(Wilmington DE, 19809) Yesterday (December 26th), Officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were conducting patrol in the area of Edgemoor Road. At approximately 12:00P.M., Officers stopped a Blue Chrysler Sebring in the area of Governor Printz Blvd and Edgemoor Road, Wilmington, Officers contacted the occupants of the vehicle, 33-year-old Megan Couchman & 28-year-old Leroy Ames.
During the investigation, Officers noticed evidence of Marijuana which led to a search of the vehicle. During a search, Officers located: One stolen .40 caliber loaded semiautomatic handgun, ammunition, .035 grams of Heroin, 30.4 grams of Crack Cocaine, 8.5 grams of a Drug Cutting Agent, 20.5 grams of Marijuana and $252.00 in suspected drug proceeds.
Megan Couchman was charged with one count of Felony Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, one count of Felony Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Person Prohibited, one count of Felony Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, one count of Felony receiving a Stolen Firearm, one count of Felony Possession with Intent to Deliver, one count of Felony Conspiracy 2nd, two counts of Misdemeanor Possession of a Control/Counterfeit Substance, and one count of Civil Possession of Marijuana.
Megan Couchman was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 11 and is currently being held at Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution in lieu of $32,100 Secured Bail.
Leroy Ames was charged with one count of Felony Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony one count of Felony Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, one count of Felony receiving a Stolen Firearm, one count of felony Possession with Intent to Deliver, one count of Felony Conspiracy 2nd, two counts of Misdemeanor Possession of a Control/Counterfeit Substance, and one count of Civil Possession of Marijuana.
Leroy Ames was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 11 and is currently being held at Howard. R. Young Correctional Institution in lieu of $27,100 Secured Bail.
