NEW CASTLE COUNTY POLICE ARREST JEWELRY THIEF

(Newark, DE 19711) On Thursday (July 23) Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Unit, Property Squad, were assigned to a theft investigation that occurred in the 700 block of Paper Mill road.

The investigators discovered that jewelry valued at over $1,500 was stolen from the victim’s residence. Further investigation revealed that the victims had restoration contractors in their residence to repair water damage.

Detectives were able to identify 43-year-old Jason Hendricks as the suspect of this investigation. On the same day, investigators arrested Jason Hendricks and carried out numerous search warrants which lead them to the recovery of all the stolen property.

Jason Hendrick was charged with one count of felony Theft of $1500 or greater and one count of felony Selling Stolen Property over $1500. Jason was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 11 and given $2,000.00 unsecured bail.

Based on this investigation, detectives are concerned that there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward.
