POLICE INVESTIGATE HOMICIDE IN CHRISTIANA VILLAGE TOWNHOUSES

(Newark, De 19702) Earlier this morning (Feb 16), at approximately 12:45 a.m. patrol officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Flanders Way in the community of Christiana Village Townhouses. 

When the officers arrived at the scene, they discovered that the 35-year-old, male victim had been transported to a local EMS station by private vehicle.  At the EMS station, the victim was relayed by ambulance to a local area hospital. There the victim was treated for a gunshot wound to the torso and succumbed to his wounds. 

Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Criminal Investigations Unit arrived at the scene and assumed the investigation.  This is an active investigation and additional releases will be forthcoming.
