(Wilmington, DE 19803) Last Saturday night (Oct 2), at approximately 10:30 p.m. patrol officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the 400 block of Brentwood Drive in the community of Carrcroft Crest for the report of a burglary that had just occurred.

When the officers arrived, they contacted the 48-year-old victim who had run to a neighbor’s house.  The officers learned that the victim was home by herself watching television when she then saw a subject standing in an interior doorway.  The victim then stated that she ran out of the house to her neighbors and called the police.

The officers cleared the residence with negative results, however they did discover the point of entry to be a first-floor window.

Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Criminal Investigations Unit arrived at the scene and assumed the investigation.
