(Newark, DE 19702) On October 4th, 2021, officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the leasing office of Lexington Green Apartments. When the units arrived, they learned that two unknown subjects broke into a leasing office drop box located at 701 Georgetown Building and removed twenty-eight rent checks/money orders.
Then on October 5th, 2021 officers were also dispatched to the leasing office of Oaktree Apartments for an identical complaint. There the units learned that identical suspects reached in and removed another eight rent checks/money orders.
Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Criminal Investigations Unit have assumed the investigation and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the two suspects in the photographs.
