(New Castle, DE 19720) On 02/12/2022, patrol officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to seven addresses in the communities of Garfield Park and Holloway Terrace for the report of shed burglaries that occurred during the overnight hours.
A trespassing incident was also reported on Memorial Drive where a white female with blonde hair and a white male with neck and hand tattoos were captured on surveillance cameras walking through yards.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Unit then assumed the investigation. Their investigation revealed that the suspects were 35-year-old, Steven Grubb and 34-year-old, Brooke Winkelman
On April 21st, both Grubb and Winkelman were taken into custody and transported to police headquarters. There they were charged. Grubb was charged with five counts of felony Burglary 3rd, four counts of felony theft (victim of the age of 62), four counts of felony Possession of Burglar Tools, one count of misdemeanor Theft, four counts of misdemeanor Criminal Mischief, one count of misdemeanor Trespassing Second Degree, and one count of misdemeanor Trespassing 3rd degree. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 11 and held in lieu of $25,000 secured bail.
Winkelman was charged with one count of misdemeanor Trespassing Second Degree, and one count of misdemeanor 3rd degree. She was also arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on $200 unsecured bail.
