POLICE ARREST TWO FOR RUNNING DRUG OPERATION IN ALBAN PARK

(Wilmington, De 19805) Spanning the month of May,  detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police assigned to Operation Safe Streets investigated reports of a large drug operation being run in the community of Alban Park.

Yesterday (Jun 1) sufficient evidence was uncovered, and a search warrant was created and executed at the residence on the 600 block of Homestead Road.  

Inside this residence, 33-year-old Terrance Simmons and 28-year-old Stephany Pedroza were taken into custody without incident.  Also, inside the residence detectives located:  19.8 pounds of Marijuana, 51.5 grams of Psilocybin Mushrooms, and equipment to grow the Marijuana.

Detectives also discovered and seized three handguns, two rifles, and $1,706 of US currency.

Both Simmons and Pedroza were transported to police headquarters and charged with five counts of felony Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, one count of felony Possession with Intent to Deliver a Tier 3 Controlled Substance, one count of felony Possession of a Controlled Substance Tier 3, one count of felony Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited (controlled substance), one count of felony Conspiracy 2nd, two counts of misdemeanor Endangering the Welfare of a Child, one count of misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and one count of misdemeanor Possession of a Controlled Substance without a Prescription.

Both were also arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and each was held in lieu of $292, 000 secured bail.
