POLICE ARREST PEEPING TOM IN COLLINS PARK

(New Castle 19720) On July 20th, 2022, patrol officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Killoran Dr, in the community of Collins Park for the report of a suspicious person.

When the officers arrived, they met with the 32-year-old victim and learned that she was in her kitchen and as she looked out of the window, she saw a male subject looking back at her.  She stated that she does not know who the male is, but he has been showing up on her property and standing on her front lawn. She added this all started when she accepted a friend request from him on a popular social media site.

Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Criminal Investigations Unit arrived at the scene and assumed the investigation.  From the social media account captured by the patrol officers, the detectives were able to identify 29-year-old Alexander Tillman as the suspect.

Yesterday, Tillman was taken into custody without incident and taken to police headquarters. 

He was charged with one count of misdemeanor Trespassing with the Intent to Peep. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court #2 and was subsequently released on his own recognizance.

INVESTIGATION UPDATE WITH ARREST: POLICE INVESTIGATE NIGHTTIME BURGLARY IN CARRCROFT CREST

(Wilmington, DE 19803) On October 2nd, 2021 at approximately 10:30 p.m. patrol officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the 400 block of Brentwood Drive in the community of Carrcroft Crest for the report of a burglary that had just occurred.

When the officers arrived, they contacted the 48-year-old female victim who had run to a neighbor’s house.  The victim reported that she was watching TV in her sunroom when she observed an unknown male in the doorway.  As she confronted the male suspect struck her with an unknown liquid.

Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Criminal Investigations Unit arrived at the scene and assumed the case. After an extensive investigation, no significant leads were developed.

On July 19th, 2022, 37-year-old Victor Sanchez was arrested by officers from Wilmington Police Department. He was arrested for a felony charge of Violation of Privacy Videotape/Film/Photograph Under or Through Clothing after he was witnessed videotaping a woman with an electronic device in the women’s bathroom in an office building located on 100 block of S. West Street.

Through the analysis of forensic evidence, Victor Sanchez was identified as the suspect in the investigation from Brentwood Dr.

Sanchez, who was released after being arrested by WPD on $2000 unsecured bail was apprehended by members of the New Castle County Division of Police Special Investigations Squad on July 20th.   He was taken to police headquarters and charged with one count of felony Burglary 1st, one count of Offensive Touching.   He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 11 and held in lieu of $21,000 cash bail.

Based on this investigation, the Division is concerned there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward. POLICE INVESTIGATE NEAR-DROWNING IN DEACONS WALK

(Newark, De 19711) Yesterday (July 20),  at approximately 7:38 p.m., officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the unit block of Worral Dr, in the community of Deacons Walk for the report of a drowning.

When the officers arrived New Castle County Paramedics and members from Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder Company were already on the scene and had removed the 37-old victim from the pool.  The paramedics were able to revive the victim and he was subsequently transported to a local area hospital for treatment.  He has since been admitted to this hospital and is listed in critical condition.

Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Criminal Investigations Unit arrived at the scene and assumed the investigation.  The investigation revealed that the victim was not a strong swimmer and was in the pool relaxing after work.  The detectives concluded this to be an unfortunate series of events however no foul play is suspected.

The Division insists that you take the following safety measures when either you or your child is going to be around any bodies of water.

Keep a phone at the poolside so that you never have to leave the pool to answer the phone, and can call for help if needed.

Keep a life-saving ring, shepherd’s hook, and CPR instructions mounted at the poolside.

Also, citizens should learn CPR and rescue breathing.  Additionally, if a child is missing, always check the pool first. Seconds count.
