POLICE INVESTIGATE SHOOTING IN NEW CASTLE CROSSING

(New Castle, De 19720) On Friday, September 9, 2022, at approximately 6:25 pm officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the unit block of Carvel Avenue – New Castle Crossing in reference to a shooting.

Officers located a 25-year-old male victim at the scene who was suffering from a gunshot wound to a lower extremity. Officers immediately assisted with providing first aid to the victim. The victim was transported by ambulance to Christiana Hospital in reference to treatment and is currently listed in stable condition.

Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Criminal Investigation Unit arrived at the scene and assumed the investigation.
