POLICE ARREST WILMINGTON MAN IN REFERENCE TO MULTIPLE OVERNIGHT BURGLARIES AND THEFTS

On Sunday, October 16th, 2022, officers from the New Castle County Division of Police responded to multiple attempted burglaries and thefts from motor vehicles in the area of Skyline Drive that had occurred during the overnight hours. Officers were able to collect video surveillance which captured a male suspect trying to open numerous doors to both cars and homes.

Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police assumed the investigation. Through investigative measures detectives were able to identify the suspect as Anthony Etter (20) of Wilmington. On October 18th, 2022, Etter was taken into custody by officers. Etter was transported to NCCPD headquarters and was charged with multiple cases. Etter was charged with the following:

One count of felony burglary in the first degree

One count of felony attempted burglary in the first degree

Two counts of felony attempted burglary in the second degree

Six counts of felony burglary in the second degree

One count of felony attempted burglary in the third degree

Two counts of misdemeanor theft under $1,500.00

One count of misdemeanor theft under $1,500.00

Two counts of misdemeanor criminal mischief.

Etter was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 11 and held in lieu of $9,200.00 cash bail. Etter was committed to the Howard R Young Correctional Institution.
