(Townsend, DE 19734) Officers from the New Castle County Division of Police Mobile Enforcement Team (MET) have arrested multiple suspects in reference to drug dealing charges. During October, the division received several tips and complaints about suspicious activity occurring at a residence in the Odessa Chase community – Townsend. It was reported that occupants of a residence in the unit block of Mailly Drive were conducting drug deals out of the home on a regular basis which caused an increase in vehicle traffic to the community.
Following a multi-week investigation, officers were able to author and execute a search warrant for the home on Wednesday, December 7, 2022. During the search, officers located 1,250.91 total grams of raw marijuana, 192 total grams of THC cartridges, 303.73 total grams of THC wax, 6,215.48 total grams of THC gummies, 133.36 total grams of THC cookies, over $3,800.00 in suspected drug dealing profits and a large amount of packaging material and other paraphernalia.
Nathaniel Latavitz (31) was charged with one felony count of manufacture/deliver/possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. He was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 11 and issued $1,000.00 unsecured bail.
A 17-year-old suspect from the residence was charged with two felony counts of manufacture/deliver/possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and one felony count of possession of a controlled substance in a tier 1 quantity. The 17-year-old suspect was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 11 and issued $3,000.00 unsecured bail.
