(New Castle, DE 19720) The victims and families of our unsolved homicides are not forgotten and there are ongoing efforts by the New Castle County Division of Police and the Criminal Investigation Unit Cold Case Squad, to bring about a resolution to each case.  To refresh the community’s recollection and investigate every possible lead, we will post the information about open cases again.

On February 12th, 2016, at 10:19 p.m. Officers with the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the community of Belvedere – Wilmington in reference to a shooting that had just occurred. Upon arrival, the victim, Stanley Evans (18) was found lying in the roadway of Kiamensi Road and Clyde Street. Officers conducted first aid however, Stanley Evans died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds.
