(Newark, DE 19713) Officers from the New Castle County Division of Police Mobile Enforcement Team have arrested 31-year-old Stephan Black of Newark in reference to numerous firearm and drug charges. During the month of April, officers conducted an investigation into drug sales occurring in the community of Liberty Square Apartments. Through investigative measures, officers were able to identify Stephan Black as a suspect.

On Friday, April 7, 2023, officers executed a search warrant on Stephan Black’s apartment and recovered:

(9) firearms

50.625 pounds of marijuana

2.4 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms

2 pounds of THC wax

250 grams of THC edibles and cartridges

Digital Scale with packaging material.

Stephan was charged with nine felony counts of possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, two felony counts of Manufacture/deliver/possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a tier 3 quantity, two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance in a tier 2 quantity, and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia not related to personal use. Stephan Black was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 11 and held in lieu of $126,000.00 secured bail.
