USPS EMPLOYEE ROBBED IN GEORGETOWN MANOR APARTMENTS – NEW CASTLE

(New Castle, DE 19720) Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police are currently investigating the robbery of a USPS employee. On Wednesday, July 19, 2023, Patrol Officers were dispatched to Georgetown Manor apartments in reference to a robbery investigation. Upon arrival, Officers contacted an adult female victim who was working at the time as a USPS mail carrier. The victim reported that she was delivering mail when she was approached by two black males. The suspects then grabbed the victim by her arms and took USPS property and parcels. The suspects then fled from the scene.

The suspects were described as two adult black males, possibly in their twenties, wearing blue jeans, black sweatshirts with hoods, and ski masks.

Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police responded to the scene to assume the investigation. This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
