(Claymont, DE 19703) On Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at 03:14 a.m., patrol officers were dispatched to the unit block of Colby Avenue – Knollwood in reference to reports of shots fired. Officers arrived on the scene and located a 32-year-old male who had been struck by gunfire in his upper body. The victim was transported to Christiana Hospital and is currently listed in stable condition.
Detectives were later called to the scene to assume the investigation. This investigation is still active and anyone with information or surveillance video related to this incident is asked to please contact the Criminal Investigations Unit.
