(New Castle, DE 19720) The New Castle County Division of Police Citizen’s Police Academy is designed to give New Castle County citizens working knowledge and understanding of the values, goals, and operations of a career in law enforcement. During the Academy, citizens will be offered academic and hands on experiences related to the duties and responsibilities of police officers.

The Citizen’s Police Academy begins Thursday, February 1, 2024 and consists of eight ( 8 ) three-hour sessions once per week for 8 weeks. The opening ceremony will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at 6:00 p.m., in the Cpl. Robert L. Snow Training and Conference Center located on the first floor of the Cpl. Paul J. Sweeney Public Safety Building.
