SPECIAL OPERATIONS OFFICERS ARREST TWO IN FELONY DRUG INVESTIGATION

(Newark, DE 19711) Earlier this month, officers with the Special Operations Section began a drug dealing investigation. Officers discovered that suspects were using the mail to ship and receive packages containing drugs. Following a thorough investigation, officers identified two suspects as 22-year-old Sierra Barrett of Newark and 49-year-old Tracie Roark of Wilmington. Officers conducted multiple search warrants and located the following evidence:

  • Tec-9 9mm pistol with an obliterated serial number
  • Polymer 80 9mm handgun
  • Taurus 9mm handgun
  • 20 pounds of marijuana
  • 3 pounds of psilocybin
  • 100 doses of LSD
  • THC-infused items and cartridges.
  • Drug paraphernalia not related to personal use.
  • Over $36,000 in suspected drug proceeds.

Both suspects were arrested and transported to New Castle County Police headquarters. 22-year-old Sierra Barrett was charged with one felony count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, one felony count of possession of a weapon with an obliterated serial number, one felony count of conspiracy in the second degree, and six felony drug-related charges. She was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 11 and held in lieu of $337,250 cash bail.

49-year-old Tracie Roark of Wilmington was charged with one felony count of manufacture/deliver/possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a tier 3 quantity, one felony count of possession of a controlled substance in a tier 3 quantity, and one felony count of conspiracy in the second degree. She was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 11 and held in lieu of $122,000 cash bail.
