(New Castle, DE 19720) October marks Domestic Violence Awareness Month which is a time to come together as a community to shine a light on an issue that impacts countless individuals and families. Between January 1, 2025, and October 13, 2025, officers with the New Castle County Division of Police responded to 5,027 DV related calls for service. Domestic violence can take many forms — physical, emotional, psychological, or financial — and it affects people from all backgrounds. This month, we stand with survivors, promote awareness of available resources, and reaffirm our commitment to creating a world where everyone can feel safe in their own home. The New Castle County Division of Police has a display in the lobby of the Public Safety Building featuring informational pamphlets and resources for those seeking help.
