COLD CASE HOMICIDE: JOHN MARCUS FRYER (2017)

Victim: John Marcus Fryer, 29-year-old male

Date of Incident: February 18th, 2017

Location: 1600 Surry Court, New Castle, DE 19720

Community: Coachman’s Manor Apartments

Investigation Details:

On February 18, 2017, at approximately 4:00 a.m., officers responded to a reported shooting at Surry Court in the Coachman’s Manor Apartments. Upon arrival, they located John Marcus Fryer on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound. The investigation revealed that the victim had returned to the apartment with his girlfriend when an unidentified suspect emerged from the side of the building and fired a single shot, striking Fryer. The suspect was then seen fleeing to the opposite side of the building.
