CONCORD BRIDGE PLACE SHOOTING UPDATE: SUSPECT ARRESTED

(Newark, DE 19702) On Monday, April 20, 2026, at approximately 2:50 p.m., officers from the New Castle County Division of Police responded to Christiana Hospital for a report of a walk-in gunshot victim.

Upon arrival, Officers contacted a 30-year-old male who had sustained a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was in critical condition and immediately received medical care from hospital personnel.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Unit responded and assumed the investigation. Through investigative efforts, Detectives determined that 28-year-old Quran Tabron confronted the victim on Concord Bridge Place and fired multiple gunshots, striking the victim in the upper body. Following the incident, Tabron fled the scene.

On Tuesday, April 28, 2026, Quran Tabron was located and transported to New Castle County Police headquarters, where he was charged with the following offenses:

  • One felony count of Attempted Murder in the First Degree
  • One felony count of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony

Tabron was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution after failing to post $1,060,000 cash bail.
