The New Castle County Division of Police continued its investigation into the suspicious persons reported in the 1200 block of Canvasback Drive. On Sunday, October 11, 2026, officers received information that helped identify the two individuals depicted in the previously released photographs. Officers subsequently contacted the two male juveniles, ages 16 and 17, in connection with the incident.

As part of the investigation, officers obtained and executed a search warrant at one of the juveniles’ residences, where they recovered a gel bead gun, a tactical vest, and a hockey-style mask.

The investigation determined that the juveniles were involved in a prank in which they knocked on residents’ doors late at night, causing alarm among neighbors. Officers also determined that no threats of violence were made during the incidents.

Both juveniles were charged with the following offenses:

• Two misdemeanor counts of harassment
• One misdemeanor count of criminal mischief
• Two violations of criminal trespassing

Arraignment information for both juveniles is pending at this time.
