OFFICERS ARREST TWO FOLLOWING VEHICLE THEFT INVESTIGATION – WILMINGTON

(Wilmington, DE 19805) Patrol Officers from the New Castle County Division of Police have arrested two suspects following a vehicle theft investigation. On Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 11:24 a.m., officers were dispatched to the unit block of Robinson Court in reference to a vehicle theft. It was determined that suspects broke a window to a Kia Soul, tampered with the steering column, and stole the vehicle. The vehicle was determined to be equipped with tracking capabilities.

Officers immediately located the stolen vehicle in the area of the College Square Shopping Center – Newark. Officers approached the vehicle and attempted to take the suspects into custody at which point one suspect attempted to run. Officers apprehended the suspect and both were taken into custody without further incident. The suspects were identified as a 17-year-old juvenile male from Newport and a 14-year-old juvenile male from Wilmington.

The 17-year-old was charged with one felony count of theft of a motor vehicle, one felony count of receiving stolen property, one felony count of conspiracy in the second degree, and one misdemeanor count of resisting arrest. He was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 11 and held in lieu of $7,000.00 cash bail.

The 14-year-old was charged with one felony count of possession of burglary tools, one felony count of theft of a motor vehicle, one felony count of conspiracy in the second degree, and one misdemeanor count of criminal mischief. He was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 11 and held in lieu of $8,000.00 cash bail.

SUSPECT WANTED FOR NIGHTTIME OCCUPIED BURGLARIES – JASON GEISER (39)

(New Castle, DE 19720) The  New Castle County Division of Police is currently searching for 39-year-old Jason Geiser of Wilmington. Geiser has multiple active arrest warrants related to burglaries and thefts that occurred in Cranston Heights and other nearby communities. Geiser is also a person of interest in additional break-ins throughout New Castle County. Geiser is described as a white male, 6’00”, 200 pounds, with blue eyes, and blonde hair.

The Division is requesting that the public remain vigilant at this time with securing homes, businesses, and vehicles. If spotted, please call 9-1-1 immediately. OFFICERS ARREST TWO FOLLOWING VEHICLE THEFT INVESTIGATION IN NEWARK

(Newark, DE 19702) Patrol Officers from the New Castle County Division of Police have charged two juvenile suspects following a vehicle theft investigation. On Thursday, October 19, 2023, at 7:00 p.m., officers located a stolen Hyundai Sonata near the unit block of Brookmont Drive – Newark. Officers approached the stolen vehicle and took two suspects into custody without incident.

The suspects were identified as a 15-year-old male from Newark and a 15-year-old male from Bear. Both suspects were transported to New Castle County Police headquarters.

The 15-year-old male suspect from Newark was charged with one felony count of receiving stolen property and one felony count of conspiracy in the second degree. He was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on $4,000.00 unsecured bail.

The 15-year-old male suspect from Bear was charged with one felony count of receiving stolen property and one felony count of conspiracy in the second degree. He was additionally linked to a second stolen vehicle. For that incident, he was charged with one felony count of attempted theft of a motor vehicle, one felony count of conspiracy in the second degree, one misdemeanor count of criminal mischief, and one misdemeanor count of tampering with a motor vehicle. He was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on $41,000.00 unsecured bail.
