SUSPECT CHARGED IN THEFT SPREE – GIANNI LOLLY

(New Castle, DE 19720) Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police have charged 19-year-old Gianni Lolly of New Castle following an investigation into vehicle thefts. Over the past several months an investigation began into multiple car thefts and attempted car thefts that were similar in nature. Following an extensive investigation, investigators identified a suspect as Gianni Lolly. Investigators were able to link him to 13 cases which were reported from 10 different neighborhoods in New Castle County.

Lolly was taken into custody on October 28, 2025, by the Fugitive Apprehension & Surveillance Team and charged with:

  • 4 felony counts of attempted theft of a motor vehicle
  • 6 felony counts of conspiracy in the second degree
  • 6 felony counts of receiving stolen property
  • 4 misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief
  • 4 misdemeanor counts of criminal impersonation
  • 1 misdemeanor count of theft

He was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 11 and held in lieu of $41,000 bail. This remains an active and ongoing investigation. If you have information, please contact the New Castle County Division of Police.

COLD CASE HOMICIDE: NICOLE MILES (2007)

Victim: Nicole Miles, 23-year-old female

Date of Incident: November 1, 2007

Location: 802 Blair Court, New Castle, DE. 19720

Community: Willow Chase Apartments

Investigation Details:

On November 1, 2007, at approximately 3:30 p.m., New Castle County Police responded to the Willow Chase Apartments, located at 802 Blair Court in New Castle, after the victim’s father discovered her unresponsive.

Nicole Miles, who was confined to a wheelchair, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Following an autopsy, her death was ruled a homicide.

(New Castle, DE 19720) The New Castle County Division of Police is proud to announce the graduation of K9 Ramza, K9 Indy, and K9 Hammer from our Police K9 Training Program! 🐾🚔

These dedicated K9’s — along with their equally committed handlers — have completed months of intensive training in tracking, detection, and patrol work. They’re now officially ready to serve and protect our community with courage, loyalty, and heart.

K9 Ramza – a one-year-old Dutch Shepherd from Croatia, is trained in patrol operations and explosives detection. He will be partnered with Ofc. Nichol.

K9 Indy – a one-year-old Belgian Malinois from Czech Slovakia, is trained in patrol operations and narcotics detection. She will be partnered with Ofc. Currinder.

K9 Hammer – a one-year-old German Shepherd–Malinois cross from Holland, is trained in patrol operations and narcotics detection. He will be partnered with M/Cpl. D. Williams.
