(Wilmington, DE 19809) Earlier this evening (April 28) at 7:00 p.m., patrol officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to South Rodney Drive and the corner of Bedford Dr, in the community of Edgemoor for the report of a shooting that had just occurred.

When the officers arrived, they discovered two victims had suffered non-life-threatening injuries.  One victim was a 13-year-old female and the second was a 17-year-old male, both were shot in the leg.

Both victims were transported to a local area hospital for treatment.

Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Criminal Investigations Unit arrived at the scene and assumed the investigation.
