Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police are investigating a homicide in the community of Wilton.

(New Castle, DE 19720) Earlier today, (November 15, 2020) at approximately 3:45 P.M., Officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were notified that 1 male suffering from a gunshot wound had been transported to a local hospital via private vehicle. Although life-saving efforts were provided, the victim succumbed to his wounds.

Officers were able to ascertain that the incident occurred in the community of Wilton, particularly in the area of Ashley Drive.

Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Criminal Investigations Unit arrived on scene and have assumed the investigation. This is an active and ongoing investigation.
