POLICE ARREST SUSPECTS IN POSSESSION OF DRUGS AND GUNS

(Newark, DE 19702) On February 8th officers from the New Castle County Division of Police and the Safe Streets Task Force were conducting an investigation on Savoy Road in the community of Norwegian Woods.  During this investigation, illegal narcotics and paraphernalia were located in the bedroom of  36-year-old Demitrius Hoskins.  From this discovery, a search warrant for the entire residence was authored and executed.

This search resulted in the additional arrest of 36-year-old Fredrick Wilson.  The officers also recovered 13.5 grams of Heroin stored in 1,929 small glassine baggies, 91 grams of Cocaine, multiple Morphine and Amphetamine pills, marijuana, and $2041 in USC.  They also discovered and seized 9 handguns and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.

Both Hoskins and Wilson were transported back to New Castle County Police Headquarters and charged.

Hoskins was charged with two counts of felony Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance Tier 3, one count of misdemeanor Possession of a Controlled Substance, and one count of misdemeanor Possession of  Drug Paraphernalia. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and held in lieu of $120,400 cash bail.

Wilson was charged with one count of Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited (Controlled Substance), one count of felony Makes a False Statement to Deceive Licensee in Purchase of a Firearm, one count of misdemeanor Possession of a Controlled Substance, one count of misdemeanor Possession of  Drug Paraphernalia, and one civil violation for Possession of Marijuana. He was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 2 and was Released on his Own Recognizance.
