FOUR ARRESTED IN NEW CASTLE FOLLOWING DRUG DEALING INVESTIGATION

(New Castle, DE 19720) The New Castle County Division of Police Mobile Enforcement Team has arrested four suspects following a multi-week drug investigation. During the investigation, it was discovered that 62-year-old Donald Nave of New Castle was selling large amounts of crystal methamphetamine throughout New Castle County. On Tuesday, June 6, search warrants were approved and served with the assistance of the New Castle County Division of Police Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT) for two separate residences. Search warrants were served at one residence located on the unit block of Stanton Avenue – New Castle, and a second residence located on the unit block of Frazier Avenue – New Castle.

During the search warrants, SWAT Officers were able to take four separate suspects into custody without incident. The suspects were identified as:

62-year-old Donald Nave of New Castle

21-year-old Michael Bailey of New Castle

44-year-old Sarina Wingle of New Castle

21-year-old Johnel Harrison of New Castle

Following a search of both residences, Officers located the following:

  • Over 212 grams of crystal methamphetamine
  • 3 firearms with various rounds of ammunition
  • 22 MDMA pills
  • Miscellaneous prescription pills and suboxone strips

All four suspects were transported to NCCPD headquarters and charged accordingly.

Donald Nave was charged with one felony count of manufacture/deliver/possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a tier 3 quantity, one felony count of possession of a firearm/ammo by a person prohibited, and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia not related to personal use. He was arraigned by the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and held at Howard R Young Correction Institution in lieu of $70,200.00 cash bail.

Michael Bailey was charged with three felony counts of possession of a semi-auto/auto weapon by a person prohibited. One felony count of possession of a controlled substance in a tier 2 quantity, and one misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled/counterfeit substance without a script. He was arraigned by the New Castle Court of Common Please and issued $17,500.00 unsecured bail.

Sarina Wingle was charged with one felony count of manufacture/deliver/possession with intent to deliver a substance in a tier 3 quantity, and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia not related to personal use. She was arraigned by the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and held at Delores J. Baylor Correctional Institution in lieu of $3,500.00 bail.

Johnel Harrison was charged with one felony count of possession of a controlled substance in a tier 1 quantity. She was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 2 and issued $2,000.00 unsecured bail.
