(New Castle, DE 19720) The New Castle County Division of Police would like to remind the public of county parkland rules and regulations in reference to rentals and events. With warmer weather, the Division has responded to an increase in pop-up parties or events advertised on social media. These events pose a danger to our parklands as they can get out of hand easily. Due to the way these events are advertised, a large influx of people can converge on a space that is not properly set up to handle such a crowd. These venues may lack proper security measures, emergency exits, and crowd control measures, putting attendees at a higher risk of accidents or injuries. They also disturb events and activities that are already scheduled and permitted for that day or location. Any non-permitted pop-up events will be addressed immediately by NCCPD.
