(Newark, DE 19711) Officers from the New Castle County Division of Police have charged 45-year-old Heather Distefano with multiple counts of theft following an investigation into an online scam. It was reported that Heather was listing items on Facebook Marketplace for sale while using the name “Heather Jablonski”. Heather would then accept payment for the items via Cashapp or Venmo while sending the victim to a random location. Heather would then block the victim on all forms of social media. So far there are two investigations where these incidents occurred involving Heather. The Division is aware of an online group where victims have disclosed similar frauds identifying the same suspect. Any individual wishing to provide information pertaining to Heather Distefano/Jablonski or who may be a victim of a similar fraud is asked to please contact the New Castle County Division of Police at (302) 573-2800.
