(Newark, DE 19713) The New Castle County Division of Police Cold Case Squad continues to investigate the 2021 murder of Elijah Covington and Zyitae Britt. On February 12, 2021, at 6:55 a.m., patrol officers were dispatched to the area of Carlisle Road – (Community of Brookside) for a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the roadway. Arriving Officers located the vehicle and found the two Victims inside the vehicle deceased from gunshot wounds.
