(Claymont, DE 19703) On Monday, March 18, 2024, at 7:53 a.m., The New Castle County Division of Police responded to the intersection of Peachtree Road and Naamans Road for a motor vehicle accident involving an overturned dump truck.
Officers learned that a 2007 Mack Dump Truck was traveling on Naamans Road and turned southbound onto Peachtree Road when the dump truck carrying asphalt overturned. The driver of the dump truck was temporarily trapped and later safely extracted. The driver is identified as a 54-year-old male, who was then transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is listed in stable condition.
As of 11:54 a.m., Peachtree Road was re-opened.
